Being transparent does not only help the person that’s telling their story but others who are listening to help them overcome. Transparency is a part of healing. I love how Mary J Blige is always so transparent and what she goes through which is what helps a lot of other women who have gone through similar situations. Happy Thursday, today let’s be mindful of the words we speak. Ask yourself do your words bring forth life or death, negative or positive, uplift and edify or tear down others or even yourself. When you are able to answer this then you know what’s truly in heart. Let’s make that change if we need to starting today. Remember life and death are in the power of the tongue. Real Talk!!!
A Tree Known by Its Fruit
33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. 34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart[p] brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Great morning all, Today’s Scriptures are:
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
As I read the scripture it captured my attention that Joseph was a “just man”, so the question came to me how many of us are just? Joseph had the opportunity to put Mary on blast for something he felt like she did wrong to him but he did not. Let’s not be so quick to put people, what we think is an offense to us, on blast to others. Find out what is really going on first. The situation may not be what it appears to be. 💞Be blessed!!!

Happy Friday all,
as I read this morning about holding anger against your brother (anyone) in your heart the question is, is it worth it? No, it’s not. Life is short so don’t let anger and unforgiveness remain in your heart for another. That’s what satan wants because he knows that if you don’t forgive then God can’t forgive you. Satan will make you feel that you have justification to not forgive and stay angry with your brother. No one is promised tomorrow and it is a weight on you. So forgive and see how free you will feel. You don’t have to trust a person to be in your life again to forgive them. You always hear that forgiveness is for you not for them and it’s true. So don’t be weighed down another day, free yourself. Love you guys and have a blessed and great weekend. Real Talk💞
Murder Begins in the Heart
21 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder,[a] and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause[b] shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. 23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
As I listened to this short sermon (click on link below) I could identify and had to ask myself have I let any Saul’s go or am I still holding on to any Saul’s in my life. Having a Saul in your life can mean many things. When God says let that Saul (situation, job, relationship, or thing) go in your life, then He means just that. If you try to hold on to it then trouble will come and God’s word says, “obedience is better than sacrifice” (1 Samuel 15:22).
“Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord?
To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.
